Great! An A for free feed aggregators! Through websites like bloglines.com you can create a personal list in which you put the links of those blogs or website whose updates you want to get informed. I think feed aggregators represent an useful nternet tool as they prevent you from losing time to search for last comments or news. A part from those who want to read last remarks of their favourite blogs and websites, feed aggregators are e-helpers for blog owners: if you add your personal blog in your list – called ‘playlist’ in bloglines.com – you can manage comments recently added without going to your blog page and jump through posts in search for something new. Moreover bloglines.com offers subscribers other utilities:
- you can create a blogroll on your blog so that people can see your favourite websites. (You can find this utility under 'Additional Features' by clicking on the 'share' button);
- you can subscribe to different websites that bloglines.com indicates under the 'directory' section. Among all I've found (and subscribed to) doubletongued.org 'a lexicon of fringe English, focusing on slang, jargon and new words'(website) and other websites about animals, music, news and arts;
- you can create a blog;
- you can clip those posts you want to review later or read carefully in another moment. For more info go to the FAQ bloglines.com section.
Moreover, as Bloglines.com tells us, feed aggregators have other advantages:
- feeds stay on the web and you can free your e-mail box from all e-mails sent by websites you subscribed to and save space (for other e-mails);
- avoid to annoy yourself unsubscribing your account by those websites whose feeds you don't want to receive anymore.
Personally I think that my feed revolution's get started!

Hi Sara,
I totally agree with you that feed aggregators help us to save time to search for last comments or news.
I can see you explored all the site of bloglines very well! You spoke about blogroll: I think it's useful so that people can see our favourite websites. In truth I don't have favourite websites, as I use internet as little as I can because I don't like computers. I use the computer moreover to search information about my university and to see my personal e-mails.
However, feed aggregators are fantastic!!!
Bye bye!

Hi Sara!
Thank you for your useful suggestions about blogrolls! I must say that I had a lot of fun in visiting the website of doubletongued, as it provides the meaning of plenty of words that I’ve never even heard before!:-) For example, Sara did you know before visiting it what a fishetarian or stewburner is?! I think it is a very useful website to keep always up-to-date about the meaning of the slang words which are coined every day!
I'll give you now the urls of the websites I put on my post, as I noticed that it is impossible to open them from there:
-this is the one about the dictionary of special words: http://dictionary.reference.com/wordoftheday/
-and this is the one concerning the quotes of the day:
http://www.quotationspage.com/qotd.html
Enjoy!
See you on Wednesday!
Silvia
Hi Sara!
I think we all agree the feeds and feed aggregators are very useful and that we will be using them a lot. I still have to find out what bloglines can offer: I guess I will spend some time
exploring the websites! Anyway thank you for all your wonderful suggestions!
See you tomorrow in the lab!

Hi Sara!
Thank your for your interesting suggestions to the other uses of Bloglines! I saw that you explored bloglines in any detail. Well done! I haven't had the opportunity to do it yet but I think I'll do it as soon as possible. Just one more thing... I really like the layout of your posts with all the information organized in a list through points. It's very appealing and, above all, very clear.
See you!
Elena
Hi Silvia!
I'm very very happy that doubletongued.org liked you!I added it on my del.icio.us so that we share it there now. I must admit I didn't know those words before. I guess because I didn't write anything about 'a person who works in a naval commissary'! However I'm surely fond of fish and I may become fishetarian without any problem!
I had a look at websites you suggested. I already knew the former while the second was new to me and I really liked it! Truly interesting! I think I'll add it to my del.icio.us. Thank you very much Silvia!:D
Have a great weekend!
Silvia!
I forgot to tell you that i subscribed to Word of the Day newsletter so that they send me an e-mail every day with a new word to read and learn. I suggest you to do the same if you still didn't.
I really like The Quotation Page!!!:)
Bye!
Thank you all for your praise!
I think we're all doing a great job!
Bye!
